Guildford based aircraft remarketing specialist Airstream International Group Limited has named Alex Vandeleur as Managing Director. Alex takes on the role from Peter Crutchfield who has been appointed Chairman of the Group.
Alex joined Airstream in 2004 having cut his teeth in aviation with 10 years at Fortis Aviation in the 90’s before a short spell at Cabot. He has been instrumental in the change of emphasis in Airstream’s business taking the company from an aircraft financing and asset management provider to today’s position as one of the world’s leading remarketing agents.
Peter remains as a significant shareholder and will continue to bring his enormous experience to bear, albeit in a more strategic role than hitherto.
David Skeldon, entering his 7th year with Airstream and a Director since 2014, takes over as Head of Marketing.
Founded by Peter Crutchfield and Peter Graham in 1989, Airstream continues to be particularly active in the regional aircraft sector having placed significant numbers of large turboprops and 50-100 seat regional jets over the last 10 years including Dash 8’s, ATR’s, ERJ’s & CRJ’s. Airstream were recently appointed to market Saudia’s fleet of E170’s for resale and confidently expect to have completed this before the end Q4 2016.
